Rob Vroman
Rob served as a submarine officer on USS DALLAS (SSN 700). While on DALLAS, Rob was named Submarine Squadron Two Junior Officer of the Year for his role in completing the first successful deployment of the Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) system on a Los Angeles Class submarine. Following DALLAS, Rob taught engineering classes in Naval Architecture at the U.S. Naval Academy. After eight years of active duty and two years in reserves, Rob left the naval service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Over the last twenty years, Rob has worked in various roles in engineering services, consulting and real estate development and investment. He has been in his current role for over a decade as an Executive Director with J.P. Morgan Real Estate Americas where he works on behalf of institutional clients to invest in real estate projects around the United States.
Rob and his wife, Jennifer, returned to their hometown of Maplewood, NJ, where they raised their two college-aged daughters. Outside of work, Rob volunteers his time as a Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer and with other local community organizations.
Rob is a distinguished graduate of the U.S Naval Academy and was also a Trident Scholar. He earned a masters in Naval Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley and a MBA with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Rob is also a licensed professional engineer in Virginia.
