Paul Blodgett

Paul Blodgett enlisted in the Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate in 1998.  After completing the Nuclear training program, he was awarded an ROTC scholarship to study Nuclear Engineering at the University of New Mexico, graduating in 2002 and commissioning as a submarine officer.   He was assigned to the USS Albuquerque (SSN 706) and qualified for his “Gold Dolphins” in 2005. Paul earned a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California and then served as the Chief Engineering Officer on the USS Alexandria (SSN 757) in Groton, Connecticut.  He finished his military service as an adjunct professor of Physics at the US Coast Guard Academy.

Following the military, Paul began a new career in the field of Quantitative Finance where he manages a global trading team and focuses on operational risk management for a private firm based in Princeton, NJ.  His commitment to service did not end after leaving the military. Paul serves his community in various ways; as a commissioner on his county’s finance board, as Chair of his municipality’s Zoning board and through other philanthropic leadership positions, including as a Trustee of the USS New Jersey (SSN 796) Commissioning Committee.
